Your version of Mint is also 5 versions out of date. I am going to download your version so i can do some testing.

If that does not work, i may have to go back to encoding a webm version of the videos. I would rather not. I believe the only people who are going to run into issues with playback when there is only a H.265 MP4 are people running linux, and even then, not all linux browsers will have that problem.

After some digging online, it appears to be a problem with the opera version for mint and ubuntu. libffmpeg.so See if doing what is suggested in the last post here helps. https://forums.opera.com/topic/30254/solved-video-playback-issues/6

Currently in my Opera I don't see anything at this time. No player controls, nothing.

Ok. I solved the poster problem in my version of opera. Aparently my version of Opera does not like the preload setting. I have another way i can deal with the poster issue.

It is a HD H.264 MP4 video. I will look into the opera thing. Right now i am working on the new player and getting FFmpeg separated from the flash apps and moving all video uploads to the actual video module.

This video would not play in Opera; reports "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." It does play in FireFox, Chrome, and Pale Moon. I will have to investigate Opera. What is the format?
