WTF is going on .. F*cking Liers! Need advice ASAP

I was contacted today by someone who was interested in SocialMunch ... I also was shocked to learn how an India company built and developed my site and helped towards it's achievements ... Not only this but they are also using other dolphin sites as their portfolio of past projects ?!

WTF .... Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!    I think everyone here is well informed and boonex well documented about my site, my achievements, my failures and more etc and I'm sure it's clear that I solely have developed and worked socialmunch into what it is to-date!

I wasn't sure about what was claimed and I asked for proof  >>>>  I was sent the following:-

AS you can see from the conversation VIPtopia is also mentioned .... [edited] Freak knows what other sites this person / company is claiming as their work ??!! I am not happy about this AT ALL although someone suggested I must have a good site if other businesses are claiming it as their own!

I am looking for serious advice about what I should / can do about this ??!!

I am gathering this person is a Boonex user due to the fact I see 2x dolphin sites brought into conversation and they claim they are experienced with Boonex / dolphin !

This person / company is potentially making ££££'s from other peoples names and hard work and allowing others to believe they are the muscle behind it all !!

This is probably part of the same group that was selling Dolphin modules at half price.  That site was shut down but I bet this is part of the same group.

With the modules, they were using blogger accounts, so Boonex worked with Google to shut them down.  Hopefully something similar can be done with this.

Besides contact Freelancer and have their account closed?  Nothing, really.  And even if Freelancer closed his account, he can always make a new one or switch to a different site.

I'd recommend letting it rest and not dwelling on it.  Might be enraging, but at the end of the day, it's someone in India on a freelance site.

 I am hoping Boonex might be able to help identify this user (especially if they have contacted others here with these claims) and do something about this also ?!

Like I said ... The way I see it >> this guy / business is using popular dolphin sites as proof of their work and making money from us !!  this is not right ... They are using my hard work (and other Boonex members) to 'trick' others into hiring their 'so called services' !

Would be like me selling mods at Boonex claiming I created them when really someone else done it!

Difference is this isn't on BoonEx.  Now, if someone was reselling modules on BoonEx, I'd have their account discarded into the sun.

No sign of a user like that on here.  Unless you have an email address, I don't think there's anything BoonEx can check for.

I agree with Nathan here. There is not much BoonEx can do about someone outside of BoonEx 'claiming' they built your website. I hope you are taking this with a grain of salt and even getting a 'giggle' out of it. If you want, you can post a review on this guy's account at that website and give your thoughts there. Call him out.

P.S. I know they are lying especially since I was the one who built your website.. :) oh and Boonex.com too.

I was looking at his profile and from what I can tell, you cannot post reviews or comments unless you hire his services ... infact as he built my site for me maybe I can but didn't notice LMFAO !

Yeah I refuse do just "take it" when it comes to this complete bullshit,, "viptopia" was bulit by me myself with the help of pranshank and newton.. I gave up posting here for a while but I dont know who this person is, but I assure you i will find out! .. then after I do I'll locate his mother/sister/grandmother/wife anyone I can find on facebook or any other social network sites and spend the next 3 or so months sending them hardcore gay porn and make sure they know this here false claim is the reason for me doing so!.. im not amused at all!

I am the only person that developed and took my site to where it is with endless late nights, sweat, tears and all the rest involved!  I was thinking WTTTFFFFF?!?!?!?! the first time I heard it and then when I seen the conversation I was stunned for a moment ...

why in the hell is he claiming social munch and viptopia exclusively??.. why is he using my site to advertize for 7.1 when I refuse to even upgrade and choose to stay with 7.9??.. god i can't even think strait im so pissed off!!!

FYI apparently he / the business has accounts on other similar sites (like oSdesk) and a facebook page !

I have been on to Freelancer and after a few hours of Bull ... they have referred the matter to their department that deals with such matters ...

I don't know if it will make a difference but I have requested his account removal ...

I doubt there will actually be a lot you can do other than contact the site they are posting on for work. 

Prob is, they prob post on tons of other freelance sites also and will continue to do so under other accounts if the current one gets shut down.

I would just waste their time. 

Ask them to go ahead and make a start,  give them some specific things to do to show you some work in prog (make sure its not generic work but stuff they have to go about) maybe get them to setup a clean install of Dolphin and implement some work on it etc...

Im sure they will ask for money up front, tell them you have a large budget but need to see some requirements met first before signing over 50% to them etc... 

Then bombard them with time wasting questions just to see how long they go along for the ride!

I would NOT tell them you are the owner of SM, otherwise they may decide to start spamming you 'in revenge'... you could say you have signed up as a user on SM to test their work and start making up problems to give them a headache!

It's a bit like those cold callers who phone you to say 'your computer has contacted their server to tell them it has a problem' and they then want you to sign up to their tech support to fix it... I just ask them to hang on a minute as the door has just gone, then walk off and leave them hanging... see how long you can get them to wait before they realise they are being played...

May as well waste their time as theres not much more I think you will be able to do in reality.

Agreed with daihlo^. Hire him, get his email, his boonex account, and waste his time too. Sounds like fun

I guess the best way to check your references if to contact the owners of SocialMunch and VIPtopia directly through their websites, or alternately you can contact them and get their permission to be used a references. Considering the great job you did with both sites, I dont see why that would be a problem. Without being able to confirm that you did indeed create those sites, we wont be able to move forward.
