Check in your Admin account Profile, and make sure "Receive Site Notifications" is checked. Dont know if this is the issue, but all I can think of.

Hi

 thanks for your reply.

receive notifications are active on all profiles , Im referring more to the backend emails not sending out rather than front end emails .

yet other backed emails did send out , does anyone else with 7.1 have this same problem?

Yes, I have not been getting them; however, that may be related to site notifications.  I turned my own and will report.

I am not getting notifications about new members either.  I have the receive notifications checked, under Advance Settings, Moderation, "Enable notification about new members".  I get the periodic report.  Is the periodic report sent through a different mechanism?

Try to check "Receive Site Notifications" field in admin profile.

It maybe that you will need to add this field to edit page for admin in profile fields builder.

Yes Alex, both in the admin profile field and in the backend admin are checked.  I know I was receiving notifications at one time.  At some point I stopped getting the notification of a new member add.  I am wondering if one of the upgrades may have affected this?  In my case my site is heavily modded so I may not be of much help.  I get notifications of new messages.

I believe it to be part of the cron of the website , recieve notifications is checked and so is notify about new members but it is not sending them across via emaiglanblew blog waiting is not being emailed either - however test emails from smtp mailer is working successfully to the websites email.

i have checkers the header and the correct email is in there also.

im puzzled

I've checked it and it works, please ensure that the change are really applied.

Also it send mail to the site's email, check if site's email is correct.

Does this change send out an email template stating that there is a new blog awaiting approval similar to that of a new member join email?
