I think there is a difference between adding a pic in the profile section , to adding an avatar.

If I register on my sites (have many of them), the pic that goes in the sign up gets added to my profile, but I still have to go to 'avatar' under dashboard and manualy select which pic I want there. Not sure the two are connected.

As for videos, if they are not processing, its more than likely either your server setup, your admin permissions, or clashing with other mods, although Ive never had the latter and run lots of video heavy Dolphin sites.

Check your admin permissions are all set correctly administration/tools/hosttools

also, check what the max file size for uploading is set to on your server, if its small (which generally is as default) then anything bigger will just try to process forever...

90% of the time Ive had video issues, its been with server config, the last 10% has been me.

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.roaringbiz.com.

  • Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
  • If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
  • If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Hmmmmmm..... seems like you got bigger problems than avatars.  I can say with 100% certainty, that for Dolphin to run properly, you need a server that's connected to the internet.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

then if that's the case with avatars. why the hell is everyone else complaining about them too? huh? don't dish out crap unless you know what you talking about or you will eat it.

I come from over 30 years programming experience and 10 of them for networking.

This is a default boonex dolphin build and it's crappy..

video comment 701 working all other versions NOT working

payments not working for subscription or store. never was

video proccesing doesn't work

Roaringbizzz....besides your bad english and improper spellings, I understand you are having problems with avatars. From reading several of your post...you seem to be having some problems. Unfortunately, despite your "over 30 years of programming" and "10 years of networking" has failed you as you have not even accomplished learning how to use a CMS system that is pretty much setup out the box. I really do not think that your going back to school to obtain a bachelors in information systems will help you neither. I think what will help you though is trying to grasp some common sense and READ. Quit hollering and ranting about your software getting "faultier" when in fact...it only gives you hassles because of your lack of knowledge. Software and computers are only as smart as the person programming. In this case...you are not doing a very good job in programming nor clicking on plug and play installation processes.

If you want help, I would suggest you listen to others....lose the attitude....and post a little more nicely. If not...eventually you will find yourself alone searching google for answers.

there was a problem with the signup.. there was an upload photo option that conflicted with the avatar upload page.

fixed by removing the upload photo from the signup page.
