will facebook connect stop spam signups? I think it would, but I am not sure. I am thinking about only letting people sign up through facebook.

by doing that you could seriously put people off signing up ... I know many people don't like using such ways for fear there accounts will get hacked or sites are not genuine and trying to steal info ...

I personally think its better to have join form and social connect features like FB connect

I understand that, but I actually only want people to join who are fanatics of facebook that are out to increase their network in return making my site go viral. I have a lot of free stuff so they don't have to join if they don't want to, but the people who join, I only want them to be open-minded and on facebook. I realize that many people won't join, but there will be so many options on my site that they won't have to join to have fun. If it doesn't work, I will add more social connection options. My only goal is to make the site go viral. My business plan doesn't need people to join to make a sizable profit. The ones who connect with facebook have a certain personality that I am looking for, then I can gradually move them to other sites within my network.
