when you say you made a duplicate of your site, that would essentially infer that you have already copied all files and folders on your primary site?
if you have not done so, and have only installed a fresh set of 7.0.5 files, then there are a few folders and files that need to be dragged over. if you had any videos, sounds, photos, avatars, files, those all need to be brought over if you are using your existing database.
the location of these specifics are:
/flash/modules/mp3/files
/flash/modules/photo/files
/flash/modules/video/files
/flash/modules/video_comments/files
that covers your default flash apps portion.
/boonex/modules/avatar/data/
/boonex/modules/avatar/data/ready (no clue what this is, but i see jpg files are stored in here)
/boonex/files/data/files
/boonex/photos/data/files
/boonex/sounds/data/files
/boonex/videos/data/files
(the last three of these directories, you will find are empty, however, i have seen where some sites store data here, so it would be prudent to just check and make sure you are not leaving anything behind)
now what i have discovered, is that dolphin does not play well if its just in a subdirectory, this most likely needs to be in a subdomain, which in essence is a subdirectory, but with a different convention.
then once you get everything moved over into the second instance, and have tested it for functionality, you can then dump everything from root (zip up the file structure for safety sake), you need to exclude the second instance, so that its not creating a file size that is unnecessary. if you have SSH access, then you can easily move the entirety of /subdirectory back into root mv /home/username/public_html/* /home/username/public_html
well there you go, thats my idea of moving data. might be a thousand other ways, and i am sure there are, but that is the method i use for moving and manipulating data.
Am I able to make a full backup that will include photos, videos and sounds etc via dolphin admin panel ?
My current site has problems and I have made a fresh install to new directory! I have connected the new install to the database to my current site!
Everything seems to have moved over to new install ok except Sounds and Avartars !!!
I want to know how I can move it all over to new install ??
My new install is here:- http://www.socialmunch.com/SocialMunch[2]/
if you look you will see sound and avatars are not showing / files missing!
Regards
Yes that was exactly the problem.
To make a full backup you could use the Cpanel backup function.
You should backup your entire home directory
And you we will have to restore the backup.
This may not a simple thing for a normal user.
If you do not have the chance to get a full backup of your previous site, well avatars, sounds and probably videos too are lost.
This does not depend by the location of the file.
You probably have those files in the right location, but they are not recognized by the fresh installation
