the following pic is the default for the Groups mod on my site, which isn't the end of the world but I've also just added AddThis and this same picture comes up as the thumbnail when sharing to facebook instead of my logo (which posts correctly through deano's FB Connect mod)
any idea where I can find and change this pic?

TIA
yes, I searched before asking.... |

My mod does not do posting, so it's not my mod. Just a coincidence.

BTW. The default image is loaded from modules\boonex\groups\templates\base\images\no-image-thumb.png https://www.deanbassett.com |
Just for the sake of clarity, when using other means of posting content to FB on my site besides AddThis (including functions that I'm pretty sure are part of deano's mod) it pulls my main site logo (uploaded through admin) as the thumbnail.
Thanks for the heads up about the location of that pic. I'll swap that one out for a logo pic and all should be fine.

Thing is, my FB connect module is used for signup and also to log into the site. It pulls data from FB only. It has absolutely no sending functions of any kind. None.
However, the pulling of your site logo is normal for a lot of pages. Facebook pulls what it sees on the page and uses what it thinks is best. If you want to know exactly what facebook sees when you share a URL then punch the url into facebook linter tool. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
It will tell you exactly what it sees and what it will use when that url is shared.

You can direct Facebook to use specific default images through the use of meta tags, something like this...
<meta property="og:image" content="http://yourimageurl.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/siim-blog-fb.png" />
