I am curious to see how others have their website .. the look and feel etc ... and curious to see where you want to go with it.
I start with mine.
Target audience: Beauty and Fashion bloggers startups ..
There are a lot of B&F bloggers that have very little knowledge about the next steps. A lot of them are on blogger.com and maintain their website on that website. Some of them are looking to take their blog to the next step. But have very little knowledge on how to do so.
This is where we step in, we provide tips and tricks, tutorials etc etc .. In essence we want to create a community for those B&F starters where they can share their ideas and more.
I think it is a real niche, and an area where our website can bring added value.
I have small parts customized, for example I allow anonymous people to post comments and they are allowed to leave their nickname and URL which will be shown in their post. This is something I missed in boonex, a commentluv module. This hopefully will motivate others to leave comments, even if it is to promote their blog. But then again, this is why we started HiCuty.nl .. to see what i mean, just visit hicuty.nl and go to blogs, you will notice that you can submit your name and url..
The template I heavily modified from a template which I bought J … and at the moment I have a developer programming something for me, to bring even more added value to my website. When it is finished I will announce it, and perhaps put it on the market for others to buy, or to have for free (this depends on how much I have to invest ;-) )
We started recently, and visits are low (obviously) .. but we are extremely busy with SEO to get our word out on the street. So far, it is going well .. Especially because we invite other big blogs to write articles for us, which we put online .. this is generating traffic, and hopefully inspire others to start writing as well.
p.s. My target audience is dutch, so my website is completely in Dutch .. no English .. sorry
