videos not processing 7.1

Does anybody how to process videos on 7.1? I uploaded a video and is still pending! Is there any place in Admin where you can approve, process, etc?

In the admin section go to modules open module Videos there you have the administration.

Converting the videos can take some time sometimes hours.

That's not true. If it's taking hours, then something is wrong. Check your permissions, especially the flash/modules/global/app/ffmpeg.exe file.

The ffmpeg.exe file needs to have full permissions, (ie 777 on most servers)

Ok, if your ffmpeg has the correct permissions, then the next thin g to check is your cron setup.

Start here. read this doc file, then make sure you have met all the requirements. Also, please post who your host is.

Hi,

Thank you for all your help, I have changed the ffmpeg.exe file to 777 and I am going to delete the video and upload it again just to make sure. My hosting is Hostforweb.net. Again thank you.

I'm working with boonex from 2008 I know my settings and have videos uploaded... 8 days ago I uploaded a video and it toke almost 6 hours before it showed up so sometimes it takes time.

What version of Dolphin are you running? The latest version has reduced the processing time dramatically.

Be sure your cron job for this site is running. Pipe its output to a text file for testing.

cron job > /var/site/root/cron.log

I deleted the file, changed permissions to 777 cleared database and 2 day later still no cigar!! Crom jobs is working properly also. I am tempted to upgrade to 7.1.1 but if this is will solve the problem and also don't know how?

Any emails from the cron?  You should at least have emails about the video processing failing.

No messages from crom at all on this issue, but I get daily emails without no problems. The problem I see with this version is that you can't process the video via Admin. I don't know if 7.1.1 is diffident?

Does anybody knows why the Sounds or videos can't be process manually thorough Admin? This doesn't make sense if the script takes for ever to process the files, Sounds, Videos, etc then should be a better way to approve the files. I have changed permissions, check crom jobs, deleted files and uploaded them again. I deleted Dolphin 7.1 Installed 7.1.1 and nothing? I should go back to Dolphin 7.1 beta, I doesn't matter what I upload on this one it works.

All I can say is to:

  1. Make sure the cron works (there should be daily maintenance emails, for example)
  2. Make sure ffmpeg.exe has correct permissions (755 for CGI and 777 for DSO/mod_php)
  3. Try disabling the H.264 codec option from Administration -> Modules -> Flash Apps -> Video Player -> Settings.

If you'd like, I can take a closer look and troubleshoot the error.

This is  the same problem I am having. When H.264 option is on, no processing occurs. When H.264 option is off, processing occurs.
