upgrade failure

I'm trying to upgrade my network, and came across the error:

7.0.9-7.1.0.B1	Update can be applied after fixing the following problem: 'Spy' module can't be upgraded, it must be uninstalled before the upgrade process, after upgrade is completed you can install it again.
7.1.0.B1-7.1.0.B2	Update can not be applied
7.1.0.B2-7.1.0	Update can not be applied

I uninstalled the spy module, and now it says it is still installed and will not uninstall, I am trying to upgrade from 7.0.9 to 7.1, then 7.1 - 7.1.1 so I can be current. Please help! :(

you are going to have to replace the 7.1.0 one you extracted in the upgrade package with a 7.0.9 version.

so basically replace /modules/boonex/spy with a copy from 7.0.9.

I've attached a copy of the 7.0.9 zip...

Also, now my members have access to a bunch of code that is shown in an error that includes passwords for my ftp, shrinktheweb and other info! D: I thought this security issue was fixed??

Hi Dolphin_Jay! I tried this actually.. it didn't work :(

Edit: Actually, before I tried the update patch.. so I just tried the one you linked me to and now I get:

Uninstallation of: Spy Failed

-- Clear database cache: An error occurred. Contact with module's vendor

thoughts? I can't get to the main admin page with the cache clearing options
