updating to 7.0.3 effect on mods and content?

Can anyone tell me if I update from 7.0.2 to .3, I will have to also update all the relevant installed mods etc but does this effect any of the content within those mods or is that all safe...

For example, I have Ultimate Articles installed which is an excellent mod and have a number of articles in place.

If I update the main script, then run an update on the mod if needed, will all the current content be 100% safe or 'could' there be some problems with content not being in place anymore?

At the moment my 7.0.2 is running okay so Im hesitant to upgrade and risk problems!

Some modules will require updating. But you will have to contact individual module developers for information on upgrade procedures for their mods.

but, should the upgrade effect content within that module for example - article content?

The update to dolphin should not.

But the update to the module might. Most modules remove all of its data during a uninstall. So if updating requires the module be removed and reinstalled then yes, you will lose it unless you make a backup of the tables.

But only the module developer can tell you if a uninstall of the module is necessary or if simply uploading new files is all that is required.

So, to be blunt, i cannot fully answer your question. Only the module developer of the module your worried about loosing data on can answer that question.
