unconfirmed members

I would like to add a message just below the nav menu to inform non- confirmed members to confirm their email address. Anyone have a clue on what php code i need to insert and best place to put it. This would be helpful particularly for member who join by facebook connect .... they never really see a message asking to confirm their email, they do receive an email with a confirm link.

This may be what you're looking for, however you'll need to ask the author if it is compatible with 7.1.4

I tried both I liked the 1st mod( http://www.boonex.com/m/deny-unconfirmed ) best. It does a better job of informing the member the member whats going on for one.

you could simply do an injection - in which if user is unconfirmed, then display a certain message. Its not too hard, and it is free.

Both mods mentioned here is free.  I use the first one, Deny Unconfirm and it works well.  It is fairly easy to add to the site as well.  My idea was to prevent the spammers from roaming the site but spammers are now confirming emails.  I need to look at some of the anti-spam modules on the market for that purpose.

Geeks, making the world a better place
