transparency is lost when uploading a logo ?

Seems that way . Any thoughts?

Should not be.  I have uploaded a logo with transparency.  However, I used the png format.  What format is your logo in?

also a png . I am sure transparency is there because when I open in gimp its there and if if open with paint I get the message " transparency will be lost if you continue" hmmm i'm baffled .

Don't use Paint, however Paint.NET is similar to GIMP and works brilliantly for saving as PNG

Yes richard I just tryed to open with paint to prove to myself that transparancy was indeed there . I am at a standstill right now server is down I guess... hostforweb lol .

I'ts quite intuitive to understand and has many features - within 10 mins you should have a good idea of what you're doing :)

Thanks for the link Richard. I like it. Its easy. For most of what i do gimp is too complicated. Seems like months go by before i need it then the learning curve starts over. I think that's for everyday designers lol. This paint.net is very friendly. I was running with it in minites
