tight integration between modules and discussions.

Something I've often pondered on with Dolphin and have yet to come to being fully satisfied is the integration of modules such as articles, blogs, with a really good way for readers to interact and communicate about the article with each other.

Sure there's the comments section, but thats not as easy to follow if you have a few replies, nor does it feel as complete as a forum might do.

I've thought about integrating forums with the modules, such as how some developers have where a group has its own forum, or an event etc... I don't think this has been done yet for modules such as articles, blogs?

What other ways are there to integrate decent discussion with info based modules?

I think it's a key ingredient in getting interaction going.

Another option I guess would be the 'wall anywhere' mod where you can post one of the old style 'walls' into any 'view' type pages. I think maybe there is one of the newer 'timeline anywhere' mods also available...

What are people's pref for onsite discussions, or more importantly, what are people site viewers prefs!

Walls v Timelines v comments v forums...?
