suspend/deactivate account like facebook

is there anyway to make user logout after clicking on suspend account....and reactivate when they logged in back...just like in facebook..

 i guess not..lol

Members can suspend their account and then activate it again when they are ready. When suspended the profile is invisible to other members until re-activated. The option to suspend is available via the account page.

The purpose of the suspended account is different, the person still can log into their account but does not have the ability to add new content.

FaceSucks is a little different because they want it so that members can never leave, trapped in the FaceSucks matrix forever, no red pills.  Even when you delete your account, they hold on to your content because it is no longer your content, it is their content.  This is one of the selling points of our site, that we don't own your material and we don't sell you like a market commodity.  A lot of people made the mistake of logging back into FaceSucks and reviving what they thought was a long dead corpse.

Now having done my rant , you could make changes in the code so that when they suspend their account it logs them out of the system.  The opposite side of the coin is that when they log in, it checks to see if they are suspended and unsuspends the account turning it back active; just like FaceSucks not giving them a choice.  This is not something that can just be done; it requires some rework of the code.  I have not looked at doing it but perhaps someone will take an interest in it.
