some observations on 7.1 UNI template

I know that the Promo pics header has been replaced by the Flash banner, but IMHO, the earlier one was better in terms of aesthetics and ease of use...

Not everyone is Flash savvy and so folks would be forced to use the default flash item that comes with the template.

I administer an Alumni website of a college, whose campus is a photographer's delight. It is the 2nd biggest scrub jungle in India and the flora n fauna is amazing. We had some amazing pics transitioning (on all pages), but now the site looks bland.

I feel that there should've been an option to have this or that :-)

is there some way / patch I can use to revert to the promo pics option ? I understand that I can use html to do so, but is there an easier way to use the old code ?

The 7.0 colour scheme was better with a clean white feel... this greyish effect somehow isn't my cup of tea... maybe I need to play around with the CSS...

There also seems to be some padding issues around the intro text in the Home page and I'm trying to figure it out...

More feedback as the days go by

Cheers

How long ago did you install.

The padding issue you speak of does not exist in the current version. Best you upgrade to the current 7.1.1 version. Looks like your running a older one.

The css for the class dbContentHtml is not there. There must be some damage to files.

Turn off css caching in dolphin. Then reupload the templates folder from the origional dolphin zip file.
