Hi there,

we faced a similar struggle.

Have you had a look at Andrew Boon blog on server configuration? Also, php tables may need cleaning...

How many users do you have? How many online at peak time? VPS, ok, but which RAM?

you guys should read this thread if your using 7.0.3 that is..

http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/?action=goto&my_threads=1#topic/Enabling-Cache-for-HTML-CSS-JS-ETC-Faster-.htm

test your site load speed here (http://gtmetrix.com/), this is a great tool to determine your actual page load speed and a bunch of other useful information.

Hi,

this RAM seems a bit low, but then again I do not konw your site traffic.

We do use Eaccelarator and if you do not understand anything about servers, try a pack from dolphinbugfixing:

http://www.boonex.com/unity/extensions/entry/Speed_up_your_site_Guaranteed/

We had them fine tunning our server and it solved a 3 month struggle.

Also take a look at that forum post mentioned by newton27, but read it trough, we can not have pic cache enabled in our site, for instance.

Finally, to delete some php tables, you should go to Cpanel (you can go via WHM), and then into MyPHP and delete some records. To help you, take a look also at these forum posts:

Hi,

it is relative, but it does help to look at your used/free RAM in WHM at peak time, if it being fully used, than it may not be enough...we ran on 8GB RAM, for example...
