problems on admin backend of the site D7.1.1

Hello,

I seem to be having trouble on the backend of the site. The frontend works fine at the moment.

Symptoms:
- Mod rewrite does not seem to be working
(example: administration/profiles.php?start=400 still gives me the first page of the profiles list)
- There must be another problem: All graphs are not showing. Result, I can't clear the cache or anything.
- Some images are not showing in the backend (images from added mods in the backend only)

I'd like to update the site to 7.1.3 today but in this condition I'm afraid to affect the working frontend.

Any suggestions?

I already restarted the server, but this had no effect. Is there a service that might have gone bad or something? I suspect a problem with apache, but I'm not sure.

Okay, Apparently the mod rewrite engine is off by default for the admin section. There must be another problem.

Any suggestions?

is it possible the apache mod GET stopped working? As far as I cazn see this seems to be the issue here.

I recall doing an upgrade for it last week...

Be nice to start out with a screen shot or copy paste of your site audit page in admin.

 administration/profiles.php?start=400

BTW this also does nothing in 7.1.3

You probably would want to clone the site and test upgrading using it.

Question, did you remove the UNI template?  The admin section uses the UNI template; which in my opinion the admin section should use an independent template from the rest of the site.  If the UNI template is not present, the admin section will be a mess.
