private profiles

Can you make all new users have a private page where only friends can view their pages by default?  Thanks

You can set your profile to display for only a certain group of people on the profile editing page.

I saw that, but as the admin can i make all my new suers private by default and if they want to change it they can.

I don't believe there's an option for that. You should be able to set the default to be friends only through some sort of modification, but I'm not sure what exactly you'd need to do.

i too would like to know if this is possible so only friends can see the profile, but maybe non friends can see the photo and name?
