For dolphin 7.1, the folder that is not to be writable(reverse permissions after install) is the inc folder. Not nic. Not sure what this nic folder is your referring to. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Ok, How ever I believe 755 is not correct as it is already set for 755 which makes it writable, and you are suppose to set it for non writable... |
777 is writeable, 775 should be non-writeable if everything is as it should be. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
According to the detailed install instructions here, http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DetailedInstall mode 755 is correct. Mode 755 is writable to you as owner but not world writable. You will want it to be writable by you the owner or you will not be able to edit or replace any of the files via FTP. So as long as it is 755, it should be fine regardless of what dolphin says. I do not believe the detection on that is accurate. https://www.deanbassett.com |

Ok, I had to reinstall do to some password glitch and me not having the captha thing set up up, this time I took a screen shot (See attachment) and as you can see it clearly says the desired level is un writable, I have tried several numbers but nothing I try will pass the test when I reload the page... |
Just make sure it is 755 and then just click skip. There is also a bug there. So just click skip and set the permissions to 755 after it gets to the part where it tells you to delete the install folder. It's the way i always do it to ensure the install completes without errors. https://www.deanbassett.com |
