mobile pages builder for iOS and Android apps ?

Hi,

In admin area, I see the mobile pages builder, but it doesn't seem to show on my phone(android) as mobile pages structure.

Is there a way to use different template for mobile users?(automatically selecting mobile template for mobile users)

or must use iOS apps or Android apps ?

TIA

sorry not following your question here....

What I assume is , that you are thinking the Mobile Pages builder is for the APPs, and it is NOT. The mobile page builder is just for mobile formatted pages for devices that connect to your website.

The native iOS and Android apps are much different and are "coded" on each platform for each OS of that device.

"Apps, unlike mobile websites can interact with hardware in the smartphone. In many cases that means apps can take advantage of technologies like light sensors, motion sensors, GPS, sound for a much richer and interactive experience than you’d get on a PC."

I thought the "Mobile Pages" were for the apps. If I move something from the active to the inactive list in the "Mobile Pages Builder" then it no longer appears in the app version of my site which to me means it is for the apps and not a mobile version of the site.

Which brings me to my next question. Is there a way to build a mobile version of our sites for hand-held devices that make viewing on mobile devices simpler without having to use the app?

Correct, but the pages it is showing is what most developers call "web enabled" as they are not pages or content that is generated from the site. (not natively in the app)

I am on the road at the moment, so when I get back to the office, I will respond in more details

Outside of installing a responsive template, no.

The Mobile Page builder just allows you to sort or add/remove the blocks when viewing from the Mobile App. To see exactly what it does, download the default mobile app(s) from the appropriate store (Google Play/iTunes - Search 'BoonEx') and install it on your device. Add your site to the app and you will see.

There should be a WAP version of dolphin so users from mobile  devices other than IOS n andriod  can browse with ease. This WAP version can also direct IOS and andriod users to install the app for faster browsing. Dolphin should think about it. I know there is a WAP  version clone of facebook mobile but it is of no use as far i think of it.  Right now on my website 70 percent access my website from mobile devices and out those 70,  35% IOS 40% andriod and 25% others which include windows phone. I was reading this article http://mashable.com/2013/12/03/build-mobile-apps/ for making apps. May be ill give a try to windows phone app cause their users are growing also.
