when an avatar is uploaded the image is an ok side when you view it, but when an image is uploaded the image is miniature when viewed.

I went to settings in the photos module and changes those sizes, all of them to 500 pixels to see if that changed anything but nothing changed the images people upload are still tiny. So ok, what did I do to break it this time lol, any ideas?
