member checked out with paypal and then deleted

We had a member sign up with paypal and then his membership was completely missing from the Dolphin software.

Anybody ever seen anything like this before?

Missing as in not in the database.... yep!

And I am using Alton Quiz, and he did not show up there either.

I am using Join monitor and was able to recreate him, but you get my point... :)

If this is a paid join type thing, then you need to look at the paid join for the cause.

I'd check the database Profiles table to see if it's there or if there is a missing row (skipped ID) where you figure the missing membership should be.  Only if it's not there and there is no skipped ID can you say for certain that it never was added.  If there is a missing row then something triggered the deletion.  The easily scenario to believe is the person joined then immediately deleted themselves without filling in your exit quiz (if that's possible).  Otherwise you'll need to try and recreate whatever it is they did during the signup process... in which case you should attempt to contact them to get details.  Good luck!

P.s. I use a free module that tracks deletions (plus I don't allow members to delete their accounts... just hide them).
