making changes to css files in uni template

Hi, I am a newbie to creating templates so I am making changes to the uni template. I am doing a template for a friend and I am running into a few problems. I would like for all the active links to have a color of the template instead of the standard blue. I also want to change the color of the background of the boonex copyright info that shows at the bottom to black so it matches with their site. Thanks in advance for your help

Did you move over common.css to your template and edit it?

if you want all links to have a specific color create:

a {
color:#xxx!important;
}

As for the other question, you can use firebug to get the class or id of the element you want and then search in the css files.
