lang-en.php file reverting back

Hello everyone,

I am developing my site in two computers (one at work and the other at home).

I have a svn repository setup for versioning.

However, when I update my lang-en.php file from either of the computers which was not used for the last commit, the lang-en.php file reverts back to it's original form loosing all customizations (thank God I have versioning).

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there any fix for this?

Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks,
Arindam

Are you saying the actual language file is reverting back, or that you are not seeing the additions to the language file on your Dolphin site?

That's because lang-en.php, is nothing but a cache. It is rebuilt when the languages are compiled in admin. That file is not meant to be edited by hand.

In order for the two sites to have the same language information, you must also be synchronizing your database content as well. I have a feeling your not doing that.

Thanks a lot for your replies geek_girl and deano92964.

No, I am not synronizing my database content.

I will do it today and check if that fixes it, hopefully it will.

Cheers!
