iframe banners

Searched, but can't seem to find an answer....

How do you use iframes in banners without the banner moving to cover the page?  Should I set z-index or something?

Cany anyone post setting of an ifram banner that's working (not moving to cover content)?

This shows

1)  The settings

2)  Layout with large browser window

3)  How it moves as I shrink the browser window

Happens with the regular and super banners.  I know it's some super simple thing I should be doing.

The banner isn't moving.....everything else is.  Looks like perfectly normal behavior to me.   Are you anticipating a lot of people shrinking the browser window? Do you want the banner to be covered by the page content, or do you want to maintain the left margin so that the banner is always visible ?

I want the banners to flow with the main page content instead of being in a fixed postion on their own z-index.  If the browser is sized to the size of the page's content, the banner should vanish off the page and require scrolling to view.

I am not aware of any web browsers or web pages on the entire planet that behave in this manner, for banners on the left side of the screen.  Perhaps you can cite an example of this?

OK I can suggest you this way :

1. Open you templates\base\_sub_header.html

2. Find and remove this code lines :

<bx_injection:banner_left />
<bx_injection:banner_right />

3. Find this code line :

<div class="main" style="border:0px; width:__main_div_width__;">

and replace with

<table width="100%">

<tr>

<td><bx_injection:banner_left /></td>

<td>

<div class="main" style="border:0px; width:__main_div_width__;">

4. Open the templates\base\_sub_footer.html

find this code line :

<bx_injection:injection_between_content_footer />

and add these code before that :

</td>

<td>

<bx_injection:banner_right />

</td>

</tr>

</table>

5. Clear all caches

It's absolute compared to inline.  If it were inline, it would flow correctly.  You'd still need an even width Ad on the other side to keep the content center.  By the way, your site, which I just looked at, is beautiful.  Who did all that work and updated your video player to JPlayer?  What a sharp looking Dolphin install!!

I see whre you going and gave it a shot, but the styles for the Ad are using z-index 1000 - so it still moves over the content.  If I removed the z-index, it didn't line up with the menu because that's another block.  I'm going to attack this as a new theme when I get a chance.

I was just commenting on page items disappearing off the left side of the screen and having to scroll left to see them... I've never seen a browser/web page behave that way..... that's why I asked for an example.

Regarding your other questions, I've done most of the customizations myself.  The main template is purchased, but I've made quite a few changes to it.  That JW player came from an article published by MrPowless on his site mrpowless.com, so he deserves all the credit for that one.... although I did have to change one of the functions a little, because it wasn't properly detecting m4v files.  The next step is to replace that hideous sounds player with something different... not sure the JW Player is the right one for the job though.

Well great work - that site is f'ing sexy.  A new music player would look nice.

Regarding the Ads, you're thinking of something else.  What I want is the scrollbar to show if the Ads and content cannot fit - like the sample image attached.  Table will do it, but I have a lot of areas to change - and I'm shocked there's not an easy way to do this.

I'm also interested in this solution. Is there any?
