href="javascript:void(0);

I see this in the code when adding a new topic on a forum or posting a response to a topic in the forum (when I inspect the element).   On some computers I cant post a topic or response on a forum, I think because of this href="javascript:void(0);.  There must be a setting on the computer or browser to allow it to work with this code so I can post a topic or response.  Does anybody have an idea of how to fix this issue?

If I remove href="javascript:void(0) will this solve my problem?  Or will it create new problems???

I am not sure what you are referring to but href="javascript:void(0) is used to avoid the browser to refresh the page, that is mostly used for jQuery codes working on links.

If you remove href="javascript:void(0) that will not solve the issue, instead you will have other problems, like the page refreshing when it should not do so.

Thank you so much for responding I'm trying to figure out why I can't post a new topic or response on some computers to my forum. Is there a setting that is preventing this? I've tried different browsers on those computers but I still can't post a topic or response on selet computers. Any idea what it could be?

It may depend by the browser.

What browser are you using? IE?

If yes forget about finding a good solution for IE.

IE is a crap and many things do not work as they should.

IE is the nightmare for any developer.

IF you are not using IE then something is wrong on your webiste and it will need a deeper look.

Let me know
