how to put play sign for video thumbnail ?

hi, i want to know how to put play sign for video thumbnail ? cause when ever user upload a video on their timeline or outline a video seems like a picture. it doesn't show any play sign. Same is the case when video is shared on facebook etc. One more thing if i want to increase the size of video thumbnail only in timeline & friends timeline. How to do it? thanks in advance.

The no answer is usually because no one has a quick "Do This" answer.  Unless someone has already done this, or takes an interest in doing this, then you won't see an answer.

However, yes, this could be done.  The thumbnail is created by going a few frames into the video.  You would need to add your play image to the thumbnail image at the time the thumbnail is created.  I am guessing that GD is used to create the thumbnail.  Look in the GD library to see what you need to combine the two images, the image from the video frame and your play image stored on the server.

Go into the market and look for the watermark modules; that is the same principle.  Contact the module developers to ask them if they would help you with this or could create a module for this.
