hide age info from profile view

hi, 

can someone guide me to do this?

want to hide age info from profile page, inside "general info" box on the left.

If possible, only friends can see it.

I dont believe you can set the privacy for an individual field like that, but if you want to hide it completely, just remove it from the Profile View. You can show it for only logged in members if that option is a viable one for you.

The Profile Blocks come with a privacy setting, the yellow keys, that the owner can set.  Of course that would hide the entire block and not just the age.  You could also put the age in a separate block using the profile views builder and then the owner can set that block to friends only.  All blocks get set to the same privacy level upon creation. 

I guess one could edit the profile page script and when age is pull out of the database do a check for the member ID and friends ID viewing the page.

It is not something that can just be done by a setting.
