With d6 i was able to go to my site from my office..... with d7 i cant, i get blocked and it says the reason is the site is not catagorized. i can get to facebook and other social sites.... but not mine. Dating sites i cant get to of course because they are catagorized as dating. SOOOOO question is how do i assign my site a catagory? anyone who can help with this would be greatly apreciated. |

I'm having the same problem. When I create a dolphin site "out of the box", my company servers block the site because it's Websense category is marked as a dating site.
I have no idea where this category is set?
Maybe Websense is parsing the text of the website and assigning that category itself, dynamically?
Does anybody have any information on this?

My job uses "St. Bernard" and it reads the actual site. I figured this out because it blocks some of my dolphin sites and others it doesn't. BUT it has never blocked Dolphin out of the box. Is your domain name dating related?

It's not dating related but I noticed that out of the box, the quick search block includes text such as "looking for". Also, as I haven't bought a license for this site (it really is, straight out of the box), the boonex promo at the bottom of the site mentions "dating sites", etc.

You can't. That sofware tries to detemine what kind of site it is by words in the url and content of the site. It is known to miscatagorize quite often.
There is noting you can just stick in your header that will change the catagory.
I mean think about it. If there was a way it would defeat the purpose of the software. Something that simple would allow full blown hard core adult sites to pass themselves off as safe for kids to view by simply setting a category.
Sorry. But if you want to access the site at work, you will need to have the administrators of the computers at work add your sites url to Websense to allow it.

What my co-workers use (that aren't afraid of getting fired, lol) is the "Tor Network".. I haven't looked into how it works but it gets around the firewall completely and will let them access anything.
