has anyone bought an seo package that actually works?

Has anyone bought an seo package that actually works? I bought a couple packages with long shot promises last year about this time, and while I did boost my page rank from 0 to a 2 and get front page for "the get together" all the other keywords I was shooting for never even came close. So I gave up and did the best to get my site ready on my own by speeding it up, making sure I had a core group of people in my chatrooms around the clock. And now that I pretty much have a double digit chat count around the clock I am looking at trying to invest money in my seo again, but im gonna be honest here I need help cause I have no idea where to even start. So I was thinkin about buying one of those seo packages that pop up when you google search "seo package for website"   but the prices are all over the place and I would have no idea it the one I am paying for is even a good one or not.

have any of you used any seo services? and if so what was the turn out??

I don't even think half of those 'so called' companies know what they are talking about !

As most people here know i am someone that knows and understands SEO very well and I can answer this with confidence ... I have had talks with these experts and discovered 8 / 10 times they know nothing of real value

DON'T BUY PAID LINKS ! to boost SEO its not what its about !!   Plus Google etc know aboutmost of these schemes and will even punish  sites for such !

SEO combines many things that some companies don't have a clue about ...

Paid links is very bad idea ... Quality links are wanted

Some companies may be able to push you short term traffic and even good amounts but in the long run it = nothing!

Real seo takes time and understanding and will get you #1 page Google listings for not one word or phrase but hundreds ... a lot of companies will never truly offer this and as a result I know many companies / websites that pay  10K or more a month on adwords to get page #1 results

no cost at all ... the truth is a little time, dedication, and few  changes will instantly make your site stronger!

 man dude you have been like a major help to the growth of my site already,, with people like you and pranshank, deano, and a few others have helped me loads, you help me with seo and we can work out something that i can do for you in return,, maybe get you some graphics, logos, or banners, or something you might need in the future.

by the way the keywords i would kill for would be "mobile chat"

You need to add more 'clever word use' ... I particularly mean with 'titles, descriptions and keywords'

I noticed with your sub cats etc that you have not made them very strong..  Changing these will make HUGE difference to you over some time when picked up by search engines.

'TGT mobile chat' is all I know about that service ... does not tell me anything else in the title.

I would advise making this sound more interesting from the user point of view > try and include the words 'mobile chat' another time in title .. keywords ... and page description (mention 'mobile chat' as much as possible without it looking silly or over the top), > from bots point of view the page is relevant to possible searches from viewers and therefor increase your chance of being shown ..

Rather than have pages saying  for example "polls home chat and MORE!' as title it should have clever word use and be something like:-

Public Polls - Take part in polls - Opinions Polls

OR something similar ... etc  right away the title makes it clear to search bots that your 'polls page' is about polls and very relevant ! Also its visually more interesting to the viewers and therefore increasing your chance of capturing them ...

I cannot use my own site as example currently as its been rebuilt and seo being worked on ...

The same as I mentioned about titles should also matter in descriptions and keywords.

Getting the above sorted out will increase your online authority 100%

then you need to think about adding quality contents ... getting the contents noticed and shared.

contents should always be unique and I don't advise using 'content services' that put contents on your site via RSS etc as thousands of people will have same contents at their sites and make you non-unique

the above factors I mentioned should be applied with all pages, sub-cats etc

also include as much quality information on the actual pages as possible ...
