ffmpeg 64 windows does NOT convert any files!!! I need a download link

I tried my old 7.0.4 version of ffmpeg that worked fine on my windows 7 64 bit server... i could upload music and videos...

but when i switched to 7.0.5 I got a file upload error.. this was fixed with a raw copy of windows ffmpeg.exe 64 bit. with no .ddls by the way.

now they upload but ever time they try to convert i get failed.. on .flv and .avi and ..wmv

Something is seriously wrong...

can I get a windows 7 64 bit download link for ffmpeg files please

and whatever other files i need to get to get my websites uploading and converting working

I have already set the flash video to the lowest it can go for bitrate 512 and it still does NOT work

this is urgent as I have to upload 5 of my friends cds today at noon.

ok downloading it but it says for xp x64 hope it works for windows 7 x64.....

i downloaded mingw64 and it doesn't have ffmpeg anywhere inside it.. what do i have to do?
I am totally clueless and it doesn't have an installer....

\flash\modules\global\app (this is where ffmpeg.exe is suppose to be.. but it doesn't work anymore on windows 7.

ok i tried it.. it went into the right directory apps (is there any other directory it should be in RMS?)

it uploaded ok... but failed to process a .flv and a .wmv video files.. so something else must be seriously wrong.

i removed the htdocs directory and through the old 7.0.4 htdocs directory in it's place and got the same processing error

the 7.0.4 worked before....

the only thing that has changed is the new RMS 7.0.4.1 has been installed....

it uploads pics and mp3s no problem

plays mp3 and videos no problem.

just does not want to convert them so other people can view them.

got any ideas?

ok downdownlad and put into flash gobla apps.. now trying to upload a very small wmv video..

i press continue to upload and it comes up with a circle spinning (meaning uploading more than likely)

but keeps spinning and never stops.

now what have I don't wrong?

hmm.. used an old php.in file from when the video uploads were working in 7.0.4 and windows xp pro 64 bit....

now they upload ok.. i can see them in video files as being uploaded...

but for some reason I keep getting failed! the convervions don't work on .flv or .wmv

no idea why? i upgraded to windows 7 64bit and have had this problem since I upgraded rms 7.0.4.1 win the os.

I downloaded that ffmpeg.. (tried the 64 bit one i had for my old 7.0.4 but got upload error)

ok i'm getting somewhere....

it uploads three files 25, 25.jpg 25_small.jpg

i ran the cron

and it made another 25 file. white in color

after a little while one 25 file turned into a .flv file.NOT .m4v and not mp4

the 25 white file disappears completely. and it becomes a failed upload.

Try to turn on "Use H.264 codec" settings option in flash apps for "video player" and "comments video player" widgets.

both of them have been unset then resert.. tried to upload again.. same proccess error as mentioned before.. FAILED

is it timing out or something?

ok it seems to be a problem with something calling ffmpeg for the last video file convert...

i saw that this time it converted an .flv file to a .m4v file

i have all the win 7 64 bit ffmpeg codecs installed as downloaded above in a previous reply.

maybe cron is screwing it up?

I have mine set to run every 5 minutes.

it could be bumping the conversion. in any case the last file is blank white page and gets deleted shortyl after leaving the upload FAILED

as you can see it has mp4 which is the file that refuses to convert. i checked on task manager. ffmpeg was working on the file but for some reason dies and deletes it (script maybe deletes it) something is definately wrong here. I need a fix if there is one.

some recomendations:

- set cron to run every minute, if you dont' set it to run every minute some tasks will be executed very rare or even not executed at all

- always enable "use H.264 codec" setting option, in this mode less files are produced and less conversions are made

- try to get output from cron, it can tell you the exact error

if you still can not resolve the problem, post your cron output here for the investigation

Still will not convert last file in list after the m4v

and further more when you delete the file from failed. a file remains in the directory named m4v so deleteing the bad proccessed video file does not get rid of all the files too boot

Regarding cron output: sorry I meant ffmpeg output, on lunux system cron outputs the same data as the commands inside cron, but in your case these are different things, please can you get ffmpeg conversion output ? maybe there is some debug mode available in your cron which can get this ?

you will have to tell me exectly what to do to ffmpeg as i am new to programming.

where to put it in cron so it dumps a log.

I have tried two different php.ini files and one just sits there and does nothing...

while the other loads the videos up to the files mention and craps out on the last one.

My videos once uploaded but never processed. I was suppose to get a cron log file of ffmpeg for alex but now this. Video upload failed (Video error) now i can't even upload videos at all I followed the steps in http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolTech   and from the forums added upload_max_filesize 30M post_max_size 30M output_buffering on max_execution_time 2000000000 max_input_time 20000 session.gc_maxlifetime 24400 file_uploads on memory_limit 30M Still no go.. made sure the permissions on ffmpeg were correct but still getting this need help

I also ran it in administrator mode and still no go... it gets to 50m of a 77 meg file and craps out and deleted the file it was working on it does this for small 20 second files also   PS: is there any way to increase the number of seconds used for flash video uploads? it's maxed at 600 seconds which is ten minutes.. most of our music videos are bigger than that.

URTHER MORE when i try to record a vide on the video upload screen it DOES NOT WORK!!! FAILED TO PROCCESSING

Come on I need a fix for this as soon as possible. I have people waiting to put on their music videos

and PS: 600 seconds isn't enbough most videos are 15 minutes or longer.

OK NOTHING HAPPENED THE CMD.EXE WAS RUN IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE AND I UPLOADED TWO VIDEOS TO THE WEBSITE. IMMEDIATELY I RAN THE FOLLOWING BATCH FILE FROM THE PERIODIC DIRECTORY

"D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.exe" -q -c "D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.ini cron.php"

THE TWO FILES PROCCESSED AND THEN ENDED UP WITH FAILED..

10 MINUTES LATER I AM STILL WATCHING THE BATCH FILE DO NOTHING AT ALL.

NO REPORT NO NOTHING.. STILL RUNNING

I'M GOING TO HIT CONTROL-C AND BREAK OUT OF IT AS IT IS OTHER A BAD BATCH FILE OR IS ISN'T REPORTING WHY THOSE TWO VIDEO FILES FAILED TO PROCCESS...

You still didn't provide ffmpeg output !!!!!!! Please read carefully this post and provide output from run.bat command !

However it seems that I figure-out the problem, all ffmpgeg builds you are using don't have all necessary codecs, please use ffmpeg from this site:

managed to fix the m4v file that was not being deleted from remove failed video uploads.

and now found a win32 working ffmpeg so now my video proccessing works.

only thing i could ask is a 64 bit version of ffmpeg that works..

tried overlaying a few of mine but NO LUCK

the presets are probably the source of the problem. now fixed.

So all WINDOWS 7 64BIT USERS (AS WINDOWS 7 IS 64BIT) GO TO ALEXT DOWNLOAD LINK FOR FFMPEG AND COPY ALL THE FILES OVER TO FLASH/MODULES/GLOBALS/APPS AND OVERWRITE ALL EXISTING ONE TO GET YOUR VIDEO PROCESSING TO WORK.

 almost so.. as soon as i finish backing up the site 154000+ users takes a long time... wish windows was faster.

I'll be running that batch file when i go to record a video in videos (live) let it go through the proccessing to the error and hopefully this time will get some results on the screen to send back....

my last test outputted nothing at all it just sat there for 15 minutes so i finally closed it with CONTROL-C.

i'll do the same time for my next test after this backup goes through.

You didn't get output because of error in run.bat file, I suppose that you have something like this in it:

"D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.exe" -q -c "D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.ini cron.php"

Try this:

"D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.exe" -q -c "D:/WEBSITE/indigoampp/php-5.2.8/php.ini" cron.php

Please not the position of quote sign, the output from cron command will help you to debug video recording problem.

Stranglely enough the website operates completely normally..
but there seems to be an issue with cron perhaps not likeing my php installation.
you can test my website and see that the ddl's do indeed work or it wouldn't be running at all.
here's what your report says:

I have seen these same warnings in my apache error.log with the dll not being win32 applications
I am running windows 7 which is 64 bit that might be the problem.. but the website and the video file i just uploaded ran fine.

any ideas?

Is your site address www.roaring.biz? If so, I don't get anything but a blank white page.

Try it now... was updating php code to see if it was at fault for the cron log...

i don't know if it is an app trying to access the dll

or something trying to access the dll as an application but it's all through my httpd error.logs

Site comes up now...it's just unbelievable slow. You must be on shared hosting. Site's looking good though. Much better count of people on your site than my few 15 members.

Its better to deploy dolphin on a linux server.

i have to fix this php_<dll> bug.. i have to assume it's cron as it comes up all the time when it's run in my httpd error.log

i guess no one is going to help with the cron and php_dll error problem.. this error is problably why video recording and video comments do not work in the first place.. we need a fix. and it's definately in cron

Maybe you should try to post for help in the jobs section. I see by your posts that you have lots of issues with this software. Best to let a programmer handle it then to pull your hair out trying..lol

he would rather spend 30 days trying to fix it then pay someone who knows how to fix it with-in minutes.
