extremely slow

I just upgraded my dolphin 7.0 to 7.1.4 and it is EXTREMELY slow now generating pages. im on a e3-1230 dedicated server running apache 2.2 and php 5.2  with plenty of ram... Google PageSpeed reports "5.4 seconds server response time" with an overall 41/100 score.... which is just god-awful... what is going on???  server load average 0.3

i tried repair/optimize on the database tables, it does not improve anything

db size is 1 GB

go to Cpanel to check out the error page, you may find something very interesting in that file. report back.

theres no cpanel on this server. but apache error log shows this quite often

Try to check the following page:

Admin Panel > Tools > Host Tools > Audit

Did you upgrade immediately from 7.0.(9?) to 7.1.4?  You need to upgrade to each individual release - from 7.0.9 to 7.1.0, and then to 7.1.1, and onwards to 7.1.2, etc.  Judging from that error message, it looks like the upgrades weren't done completely.

Turn off all the anti-spam tools via the dolphin admin panel and test. Add the ones you want back a little at a time.
