email notification

How do I direct my users to turn off email notification?

You mean site emails?  They need to go to their profile and click on the edit button and then go and edit their profile, there is a check box on receive site notifications.

is this a good idea?  even if your users have a little moan about the notifications they are receiving ... it's a way to keep them informed and coming back to site!

I removed the option all together and made it clear that as the network is totally free all we require is that users receive our mail!

A few moan but they do keep coming back after getting notifications from site ...

Detective 08- how did you disable the option?

I share your sentiment.. if you belong to the site, you are gonna have to hear from me...

Hello ... it's pretty easy actually!

1) go to page builders

2) profile fields

3) drag 'EmailNotify' blocks away from 'Join page' and 'Edit Profile'

Your done!  Users will now have no option but to receive email notifications ..

To make sure email notify is turned on for all members, just run this SQL in phpMyAdmin.

UPDATE `Profiles` SET `EmailNotify`=1

Then clear dolphin users cache.
