custom block for uploading media?

anyone know how i can create a custom block for peoples profiles, so they can upload media and display it on that block?

There are already blocks for sounds and videos on the profile page. So i don't get it.

the idea was to have a block called creations, where they could eaither choose to upload photo's or videos to display in the block..this is the clients request not mine lol

Not without a custom module. A simple block will not do it. You need to be able to tap into the uploader, save the files, store entries in the database, generate the block, ect.

Is this all that is holding your site back? Maybe it would be worth it to pay to have a module made for your members. I can not see how this will hold your site back when Dolphin has so many features.

no, theres also so many things that dont work right, sign up is broken, i brought 2 facebook mods, which non of them the owners can put on the home page, i also need my story mod fixing, my video chat fixing and a few more bits like search, template switiching etc...

i did pay £3800 and sign a contract with Darren Powless, but since paying him, not heard or had any more work from him. so got 2 other guys to help, but dont hear much from them eaither, so been buying mods, trying to bespoke them...

Our present facebook mod does not displays data on homepage and we told you about that ...

We will have that feature in future versions but it's not that easy and so will need some time, so you will have to wait ...

yes, hence why i ask if anyone else can do it, it half works on home page just without comments, so i brought another mod for facebook to see if anyone else could get it working on my homepage...

there is a mod for this already in the market called profile creations. but why would this be needed anyway there is a wall on all profiles for uploading pictures and video also music . the mod your wanting does all this but why when there is the wall for the same thing i dont understand but anyway in the market profile creations allows the member to post blocks where ever they liek on there profile page look it up seems liek a good mod if you need more help on this pm me to my inbox ...................
