comment moods

Is there a way to disable the comments   -positive -negitive- and neutral functions, I really dont need nor will my members want this feature for the type of site we have.. It would create too much of a issue between members.. if anyone know how to disable or remove this function I really need the help.

I have a business site with similar situation.  In Admin>Advanced Settings>Profiles, uncheck Enable Profile Votes.  I would also make sure that in your Membership levels you don't assign any voting permissiions to any memberships.

I have done this and it works somewhat.  I have been unable to find how to remove the voting stars.  A member won't be able to click on them but they will still be there sort of grayed out.

There are a number of things sadly in need of redesign by Boonex for business sites.  This is one of them.  Being able to choose if you want to have your age and sex shown is another.  As it is, trying to remove that is a mess since they show up all over the place, and removing the code will do it globally for all members.

Howdy and thanks for your reply.. I have disabled all voting rights for all membership levels and disabled profile votes and cleared the cache afterwords and still on all media content there is the ability for users to select  -positive -negitive- and neutral on the media comments and comment replies.. Im not too worried about the star rating but the  -positive -negitive- and neutral selection feature on comments and replies is something that would cause alot of issues for my members.. Im puttting together a Karaoke Community site and members being able to rate each other in that fassion on comments will create issues among members.. so I really need to take it out.. I tried editing the cmts.css in the base templetes folder looking for anything related to  cmt-mood   and   cmt-post-reply-mood.. I made a backup of the file and edited out the sections they were found in and it didnt take tem out.. even did the same  for the file in the tmpl_uni/css folder and still they didnt go away.. unless I didnt edit them right.. if anyone has any info on what else I should look at.. I really need direction on  this.. Thanks

Try in phpmyadmin, sys_objects_cmts, change IsRatable from 1 to 0.

Post here if this works.

I have been able to remove stars in sys_objeects_vote by changing IsOn from 1 to 0, but now I am left with {rate} in its place.  Am posting this problem separately.

Well thanks for the help but that didnt help either.. I'll keep playing around with it, there has to be a way to get rid of it.. thankfully at the moment the site isnt live yet, so I have a little time to work on it. If I make any progress I'll let you know..

templates/base/css/cmts.css:

div.cmt-post-reply-mood {
/*position: relativ_e;*/
float: right;
display: none;
}

Once you've finished making your changes, save and clear the usual suspects. Oh, and have fun.

Thanks for the reply magnussoft, I made the modifications you sugjested and even with the files in both the base and the uni templetes.. but the positive -negitive- and neutral functions still show up in the comments area.. There has to be something that references them somewhere that will disable them.. unless they are that deeply inbeded throughout the dolphin script

Did you clear the cache/ (except for the .htaccess file) and cache_public/ directories?
