change menu bar pop up box colors

I'm trying to change the color of the menu bar pop up boxes at the base of the template. I tried using Firebug but it wont find the css

If you have caching enabled, disable it through administration > settings > advanced settings > templates and try inspecting it with Firebug again.

Edit: If you're referring to the member menu:

templates/base/css/general.css:

white-space:nowrap;

}

Try to change the code in red.

Thanks for your reply. I have done that (thanks to your support on a precious post) which works fine throughout the site but upon trying to use Firebug for the bottom pop up blocks it doesn't seem to find it. Would you be able to tell me which css sheet to edit? I don't need the exact line etc ... just the css
