Hi-

When we go the the browse screen, the our transgender option shows up as a linux penguin.

How do we change this?

Thanks.

But I am not sure if that applies to admins only? You can try and find out.

Yes, that is where the icon is being pulled from.  However, that is not where it should be changed as that would change it in other areas that use that icon.  You need to examine the code that is telling the browse to use that icon.

This is what you want to do, if it is a transwoman, then assign the female icon; if it is a transman, assign the male icon.

Why don't you ask your transmembers if they want that icon to be applied to them or if they wish to be identified as either female/woman or male/man.  It is about the members; I constantly ask my members what they like or don't like about my site.

If you offer three choices then each member can decide for themselves how they wish to be categorized ;-)

I did not think one choose an icon; and when one uses an avatar, or profile photo, it replaces the generic icon with that image.  Is this something outside of that?  I was thinking this was about the generic icon used with a person does not have an avatar or profile photo (depending on if the avatar module is installed or not).

Based on the screenshot that was added with the original post, it appeared the topic focused on the universal icons used to denote male, female, and 'other'.  However you do add an interesting side issue... that of the default male/female avatar, i.e. what to display for transgenders... I suggest half of each, e.g. left half female, right half male.
