can`t join after upgrade to 7.04

I just finished upgrade to 7.04 and the site looked fine, much slower than before, but in general it went ok. I consolidate my nerves to being anti spam upgrade, but if the main selling point was speed and anti spam and the speed sucks, what am I to expect for anti spam?

I tried to join the site with test user and the join failed/doesnt work??! When you click on join button nothing happens, no warnings no signing up.

Logging in with existing test user nicknames is ok. Does anyone have this experience with the upgrade? If so, could you please explain what you did to fix it?

It can not be slower at all. It was no changes which could affect performance in a bad way.

It maybe that cache files is not created yet, please run test twice, first one to create cache files and second one with cache files created.

Also check if all cache settings are ON in admin panel.

By the way many things can affect performance:

- current server load

- network speed

- site content

- 3rd-party mods

- different Dolphin and server settings

during your tests many of above things could be changed and affect test's result

Yes everything is cleared and caches are enabled. It still doesnt react when "Join Now" button is pressed.  There is no warning messages even if you leave some required fields empty in the form. Also, there are no 3rd party mods.

I'm french and excuse me for my english, why don't put the issue for all members !! i have install dolphin 7.0.4 and i get the same problem with nurke, when i finish to fill all subscription fileds, and i click on the join buttton, nothing happens, no error message no redirection! please Mr SashaE give the issue to help your community . I to am having issues with join. It will not allow anyone to join filling out sign form, yet they can with facebook connect. I get this error below in my error log. Also I noticed when someone uses a hotmail address there is a gap in the hotmail part. I have tried to copy and past hotmail and still a gap, yet not when you use a yahoo address. Not sure if that is how it displays the letter "m" so far from the "t" as you can see below also.

The reason one is dark and one white is i tried both ways with uni template and my custom template to see if that was the issue, but was same both ways. Hope someone has a fix soon.

It looks like you didn't overwrite old file with new ones.  bx_is_ip_blocked function appeared in 7.0.4 and is defined in inc/util.inc.php file but your version has this function missing - so I suppose that inc/util.inc.php file was not overwritten and old file is still in use.

Okay that worked. Had to reinstall D7.0.3 and then do another upgrade to D7.0.4 and all is working fine now. I have always trusted my cpanel over any FTP programs so not sure why it did not overwrite that util.inc file. Thanks AlexT.

I have re-uploaded all 7 files to INC folder all 7 found in the upgrade patch. It fixed join page and comments errors.Had to do it thru cpanel not FTP.

The files must have become corrupted when uploaded through FTP. This can happen if your FTP client isn't configured correctly or there was an interruption in uploading.

I have the same issue the join button don't work or just don't do anything not even the red pointers if the blocks are empty

also i found that if I clear the cache then i can join but only onces and then I have to clear the cache again in order to be able to do another join.

I have try all the suggestions in the post but nothing still need to clear the cache for it to work onces.

Please I have read up and down and I cant find the answer to the problem.

Then for you it's obviously a caching problem.

Turn off all caching options in admin->Settings-Advanced settings under Other and Templates.

Clear the cache again.

Then try while the options are still off, at least twice to verify.

Then turn one caching option at a time on and re-test until you have determined which one is causing the problems.

Also check the type of caching it is set to use. Some of those options only work properly when the server is configured to use them.
