adding photos to forum posts

Still looking for an easy way for users to add a photo to a forum post. Not sure why there is no 'upload photo' button as standard still... most users will never get the add url method currently on offer, especially if the photo they want to add is not on a website already but on their desktop...

Have found a link to DeeEmms TinyMCE browser plugin, but its not 7.1 updated and is no longer under support.

Im reluctant to start hacking the code to get it to work incase any future changes to updates mess things up...

Are any developers working on a simple photo upload plugin for forums? 

One that will simply allow a non coding user to click photo 'upload' button and have a pic appear in their post?

Would be a fantastic and much much needed addition to dolphin forums if this could be made available as a plugin...

This would be greatly appreciated. We have it on a 7.0.9 site but need it for 7.1.3.

TinyBrowser will work with 7.1 you just can not follow the old installation because there were file changes.  By the way, 7.1.4 now uses the same TinyMCE init for the forum as the rest of the site.

Note that TinyBrowser won't work if you upgrade TinyMCE to the latest version.  The developer said he is planning on updating the script but the last time I checked he had not.  Also, it is no longer completely free if you do get the upgrade but it is only around 5 pounds to purchase.

I hadn't seen this post before today.....Yeah, daihlo is right- this would be a nice improvement.

We can do this if we modify TinyMCE but would be much more user-friendly if it was standard part of Forums.

Was no real easy solution then, and not really one now :-(

Really needs this to be added, sounds like such a simple thing, but would make a massive difference to Orca actually being useable...

Yes, this should be an integral part of a forum. I'm not understanding why it isn't.

Until that day, we either do the attach and then edit/insert to post, or we use the image manager add-on to TinyMCE.

Wasn't that hard either, I used it and it worked great
