Will I lose data?

I am having problems with my articles after the update to 7.0.4, I am wondering, If I uninstall then reinstall the articles mod, will I lose the articles that my members have posted?

I am using the members article mod, I have tried to contact the creator, but have not heard back, I know i should wait longer, it has only been an hour or so, but this is really important, My member has contacted me twice about this issue. People pay him to post stuff, and right now no one can see it, not even  me.

Yes, we know there's an issue with the articles mod as we faced the same thing during upgrades as well...

If you will un-install, you will lose data for sure, here's what we recommend- -

Un-installing will not help  Apply the fix manually or you can do this:

Advanced Option - Backup the tables related to articles mod, just back up the data, don't backup the structure.. Then, import the data one table at a time....

P.S: Whatever you try, best option is to backup the whole site database before you do anything...

Ok, so it wasn't just my upgrade then, I searched all the problems of the upgrade, but didn't see this, I would have waited till it was fix before I upgraded, this is one main feature i am using right now,

Where can I find some help on doing it manually?

What error did you get?

If its modzzz articles mod that's creating the issue, then you can skip the step...that's what we did....

Do you see any errors in the apache log? It does not looks to be an SQL related issue...

What error did you get when you were performing the upgrade..

I didn't get any error during the upgrade. it went smoother than my other upgrade from 7 to 7.0.3

I just didn't understand why I had to delete all the files that it said to in the instructions
