Why the " standard" level can't comment?

I just realized that the standard level can't comment on groups or pages.

It just has the option to " comments delete and edit" . But if activated it will be allowed to delete other comments, which is not the intention.

Any workaround?

It is tied to the main Comments Permissions, not specific to a module.

 Indeed, that was my expectation, but I have those activated.

check privacy settings for the group then next. And also make sure that you are actually looking at the actions for the Standard membership

was it the privacy group settings, or still not working?

Careful with the settings as some are meaning delete and edit ANY comment; the purpose there is to set up moderators.  Some of the comment edit and delete are not clear in my opinion.  I certainly don't want to give members the power to delete other member's comments.

My error was that the group was set to " only members of the group can comment" 

And I couldn't realize that...

hmm - I wonder if someone is going to write a hack to allow comments to be set within modules.
