I have had cases on some of my sites where cron was set up correctly BUT was not firing ... I will look back at notes and see what the fix was in case this is the issue you face ...

maybe the cron job is not set the correct way for the mail function.

have a look in your dB sys_cron_jobs or it's done on your server.

ask deano92964 for more info

There is no different way of setting it. Either cron is working or it's not.

Anyhow. As for mails sent from the profile of a member, do not compare it to the mass mailer. Just because one works and the other does not cannot be used as a comparison because one does not use cron, the other does.

So i still suspect cron is not working.

Are you getting nightly periodic reports from dolphin in your email every night?

How should it be setup in sys_cron_jobs table deano92964?

just to check my own settings too

Quote · 28 Jul 2013

Don't know. That table just holds the commands that cron is to run. It is not actually the cron job and that table is not to be touched.

A cron job is run by the server and is setup in the cron section on cpanel or whatever hosting console you have and what it is suppose to look like exactly is different for every server because of the paths the site is setup on.

There are tips in the forums all over the place on proper setup. But the database is not where you should be looking and should never be touched.
