Why does Google do this and how can I fix it? It happens on the terms of use page along with a few other pages like Contact Us. (view attached pic)

When they said they'd get your site on Google, I bet this isn't what you had in mind.

Does your page title also say this, or is it only appearing when viewed through Google's search results?

It that text is on your terms_of_use.php itself just edit the language key _TERMS_OF_USE in admin panel. Remove that part from the key or change it to something else. You might look over your page and see if there is more than one case you need to remove. Other wise it might be part of the title or header or something. Check the language key first if you haven't already.

No there is nothing in the Terms of Use page that says Cheap domain registration...

only when I search my domain name on google the first one comes fine but then the one under it will say terms of use and then that stuff next to it

That's like suggesting he take one poison over another.

@OP: It's possible that Google's using outdated results. You can try waiting for them to make another pass at your site. I'm not sure if their webmaster tools will help, since I haven't used them in a long time.

Oh so its because of Arvixe? You think they can fix it if I talk to them or is that just the way they are?

Also do hostgator or godaddy even support Dolphin, because Dolphin has a lot of requirements?

Edit: Ok thanks everyone, I'll talk to arvixe and see what they say.

You can try talking it up with Arvixe, as they might know why it's happening (I still think it's outdated Google results).

HostGator does not support this script on their shared hosting plans, and GoDaddy has been reported to be hit or miss in terms of working.

If you go to your page sitename.com/terms_of_use.php and view the source and see if cheap domain registration appears in the source anywhere. If not it could be out of date and you changed it already, google just hasn't crawled or updated the page in search results yet.

Another thing you could check is open terms_of_use.php with a text editor, ftp, file manager, etc. Look for:

$sRet = '<div class="dbContent">' . str_replace( '<site>', $site['title'], $sRet ) . '</div>';

See if cheap domain registration appears in that line or area anywhere else in the file. I wouldn't think a host would go through all that, but you never know.

You can also check the h and h1 tags _TERMS_OF_USE_H and _TERMS_OF_USE_H1 too.

And you could search the entire database with phpmyadmin for cheap domain registration to see if or where in the database it might be.

It's not in you page source.... don't bother looking.  If you right click on that link and copy the link location, and paste it into notepad, you'll see all kinds of tracking codes.  This is something between Arvixe and Google..... I guess Arvixe has found a way to inject their advertising spam on search results.  I guess that's part of the way they support their $4/month hosting.  Dump their sorry asses befor every page on your site is indexed like this.

Arvixe told me its not because of them that its because of my domain name registrar. So i contacted them and they said its because of google and that I should manually add my site to google, which I did.

If I were to leave Arvixe, whats the best hosting company for Dolphin? I am on the month to month with Arvixe so leaving is not a problem.

In that case, I suggest you register the .net version of your domain asap, and register it with a real domain name registrar, and move your site to the .net domain.  You're locked into namecheap for a year, and the last thing you need is every returned search link to your site polluted with their advertising.  I didn't even know a registrar could do this.  If it happened to me, I'd be really pissed.  The going rate for domain registration is about $10, so you didn't save much by using namecheap.

So you suggest changing my site to  .net? Also what would be a good domain name registrar?

I am also going to contact name cheap.

Is there a way to remove the terms of use from google, because the sites homepage doesnt have that problem.

Name cheap also said that once google updates and the bots index the page it will all be fixed we'll see what happens

Thanks everyone for the help

Did you by any chance park your domain for an extended period of time? Many domain registrars will display one of their holding pages when a domain name is parked which would result in web crawlers indexing the content of that holding page.

Man you guys just don't give up on Arvixe. This is not Arvixe related.. lol

What is wrong with them? I think there are underlying reasons for this vendetta against them.

I have two separate accounts, different servers and have never seen these results returned on google...going on a year now; never, and I always check.

I even have there "hosted by" links on my pages and they never get indexed to show them or what your posting ..

my terms of use has never been changed either.

If you have submitted your site to google then they usually crawl a site daily.

Inserted this extra meta into the _header.html file, keeps google and other bots crawling daily.

<meta name="robots" content="All"></meta>
<meta name="cache-control" content="no-store"></meta>
<meta name="pragma" content="no-store"></meta>
<meta name="revisit-after" content="1 Week"></meta>

You should be able to see how your site is crawled too in your hosting cPanel>AwStats, see the photo for reference to what I mean..

Make a backup first...             YOURSITE.COM/templates/base/_header.html

Your adding the extra meta tags in black and white
