Why does D7 call the www.superfish.com website?

Can I safely remove www.superfish.com from my site, it often delays my site loading. If so how?

I really hate outside sites being referenced. Same problem with Cooliris

When my D7 home page 'loads' it is some times delayed whilst 'waiting' for the www.superfish.com site. I would like to know why. You should be able to see this for your self, just watch the files loading (bottom left corner of your browser) It only seems to do this when loading the site for the first time in your browser.

This is due to something on your site. There is nothing in Dolphin that calls that address.

I looked into it and that address is the site for a Firefox shopping extension. I agree with the post above. If you have such an extension installed, that may be why.

I do not have any mods on my site (or FireFox/Mozilla) that would reference that website. Why would a possible FireFox add-on load www.superfish.com when I go to my D7 web site?

More to the point, how can I get rid of?

I don't know where it's coming from, so I can't really say there's an easy answer to that. I recommend you search your files and see if you can find anything referencing it. I also wonder if you'll run into this with a different browser.

This is loading as a part (with) of my site, if FireFox could do that, it is a security concern. I am going it to try with IE & Opera.
