Who is the author of the Boonex bulkmailing script?

I'm still trying to figure out how to send bulk emails.

I only want to send out 200 and they end up in a queue and they stay there forever.

TMD Hosting have told me to request information from the authors of the bulkmailing script I'm using. See below:

"This information you should request from the authors of the bulkmailing script you are using."

I thought the author was Boonex, but maybe not. So who is the author? Enid Blyton? Somerset Maughm? Ian Flemming? 

Sorry, gotta make a joke of it, I'm going stir crazy trying to make this work.

there is an alternative. We have modzzzz profile information exporter module and use it to extract e-mail adderesses for any situation we need into excell. We then just use our e-mail account to mail directly.

Its a better way of doing things.

if you are using the massmailer inside admin panel then you have to check the setup of your cronjob ...

I have used the DT Mass Mailer System written by dolphin_jay and licensed it to one client so far, will be licensing another copy in the next few days for another client.  It has met the needs of my client to perfection.

LipJive, this sounds like the solution. Compatible with 7.8 and 7.9?

The default boonex mass mailer works. Did you ever get TMD to fix the problem with your cron job? The cron is what sends out the mass emails so as long as yours isn't working the mails won't go out.

Hi MS Scott, no, I never did fix the problem. What I've done is taken a back-up of my members and created an email account on Yahoo. I can now bulk email everyone via Yahoo. It looks a bit amateurish but at least it works. 

I should add that TMD can only help me if I can discover who the author of the bulk mailing script is and I have no idea how to obtain that.

The author of the Boonex bulk mailing script is.... Boonex. The bulk emails are sent out by the Cron, so you're going to HAVE to fix that before they will go out. It isn't working based on your other post about getting thousands of emails from it daily.

Why would TMD need to know which programmer wrote the bulk mailing part of Dolphin to fix your cron job? Did someone there actually tell you that?

I honestly don't know why TMD requested the author of the bulk mailing script. In fact I don't know much at all. I just follow the given instructions and hope things will work. Some times they do and some times they don't.
