Many of you already know who I am. I have either come to you for advice and help, Ive worked with you on mods or Ive visited your site (sometimes all 3) but I feel the need to express my thoughts at the moment!

Let me ask you this... why are most of us here? The answer... some are to help but most are here to become website creators and/or entrepreneurs in some sort of way. Am I correct?

The more that I interact with some of you on the forums, the more I notice that many people seem to have this Dolphin Ego that they are too good to help. Why is this? If someone is trying to learn something, why not help them learn? Instead, I see numerous postings attempting to degrade others or including smartass remarks about something.

Is there really a need for this?

Do you not think that the more you help someone, the better they will become and can help others? Why do you feel the need to think that you know everything and are too good to help someone else?

To those of you who have helped me in the past, you know how grateful I am for it. I am learning everything that I can, as fast as I can, so that one day I can help others too. Many of the things Ive learned how to do, Ive had to ask for help, then dig in to my files to see exactly how something was done.

Bottom line is... we should all work together and help one another create our websites instead of trying to be "Me, Me, Me" about everything.

Cant we all just get along?

I think people like Sammie and Dosdawg and Magnusoft and so on have a way of having fun with helping people by giving their answers in a way that adds humor to it.  In the end this is a really boring thing, it's software code, nothing exciting so to break up the monotony many will toss in some humor/sarcasm with it.  The unfortunate part is that some will take it personally from time to time.

well we do answer, but sometimes we half to answer the same simple questions over and over, because no one wants to look in the forum.

I my self have asked questions that have been answered but I didnt dig deep enough. Usually the answered have been answered already if we look.

I do want to give credit for magnusoft, houstonlively, and dosdawg!  they have certainly helped me as so many others! I am a person that moved out of the bush Alaska, and didnt know what internet was until 2 years ago! and now I have 3 sites with one finnaly taken off. I owe all that to these guys here!!!

They have put up with me being a newbie and suggested answers and now I am addicted to it.And I help out now also. but simple suggestion is to search first! then ask, and ask in a way that folks will want to help! Folks here can get tired of the same simple questions, and they sometimes have fun with it. so take the sarcasm and work with it.  They mean well, and if you stick with them they will help you all the way  to the end.!!  But let us have some fun as we do it! were here to learn, teach, andnetwork! but without each other , well.... well I would be lost!!! thank you guys!!!!!

So  if we dont answer, well it's because of several reasons.  But give us a chance and we will help you all the way! they have helped me!

Ok as you have mentioned me, i'll speak for myself as i cant speak for others here.

For a long time, only James Tadeo and I were listed as Experts and Pundits, This gave us nothing but extra work as we stood out and were hit by every pissed off newbie whos frustration with the help here was compounded by the poor search results and lack of interest when i refused to inform them where this Cpanel is that everyone keeps talking about, or this htaccess file.

It is far better to spend my time helping people that are nearer to my level, let other newbies tell the newbies where Cpanel is, it helps boost their confidence and self worth knowing they helped someone with something they new the answer to. you dont need the top coders and programmers wasting their time explaining to someone how they need to pay for hosting, as Dolphin wont work on a free host.

I also taught sexual health to a million students for 10 years and if i wanted the HEALTH part of the sex to stick in their heads, i made it fun and they remember the fun stuff better, and retain that information, so i have used the same method here and other places, some do not like it, and make it known, like i care.

Anyway the Expert and Pundit status was a major issue with some people, and they turned nasty, so in the end, i asked for both the Expert and Pundit status to be removed to prove it did not give any mystical powers or anything like that. it was more of a hindrance, so i was glad to get rid of the titles.

Anyway i started to fight back, and had enough so i knew i would be banned, so deleted over 3000 forum posts of mine. hid the dolphin for dummies guide i had wrote, (told everyone i deleted it, but only hid it, it is still there) and deleted a lot of my blog posts.

Anyway i got banned, but after 12 months i had to contact VictorT and ask him to disable email notifications, as i had over 100 emails about messages that i could not access or reply to, and now 2 years later, i had shit loads of requests for help i just deleted them all. it appears that people who had asked for help before, just hit reply to a message from me they still had, and it would send it to me.

Now i am disabled, and need supervision in the day and while outside, as i can be a danger to myself, (lack of oxygen made me fall asleep in the street when it was -8c in December) so dont expect me to do to much to help here.

and remember, they can always ban me again.
