What's The Largest Amount Of Members....

What's the largest amount of members can a dolphin site have? Can my Dolphin Social Networking site have over a million if possible? If not what do I need to have just in case I start to have a large amount of members

What are you smoking, and where can I get some?

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

It's not a problem to hold 20 million member profiles in the Database Cool the question is how much real users it can handle, and that depends on:

- hardware infrastructure

- dolphin performance

- bandwidth

- number of concurrent user

my development setup can handle around 300 req/sec and the productive 1000req/sec+. don't forget that the member menu make much requests if you get load on the site and you will need to rewrite it, if not you do a DOS attack to yourself. you need to serve the static content from a CDN or setup a small http server like nginx, same for member photos/videos. and yes, if you have many members don't forget to mod the photo upload folder, depending on your OS you will need to split folders because OS limitation to the number of files per folder.
