What does Like button do on Recommend section

I see that there is a Facebook Like button on each page under Recommend section. I would like to know, where does the Like reflect. Do I have to setup a facebook page for that particular website and get my likes registered there ?

I am not able to understand the functionality of It.

With the other 2 buttons.

1. Google+ share, it opens up a google pop-up and let me share the link

2. Twitter: It opens a pop-up and lets me tweet that page.

But with facebook like button, I am not sure where the like lands.

Any answers will be really appreciated. I am attaching an image for reference to what I am mentioning here.

It lands on that member's facebook wall (Timeline) and/or 'Likes' section. They keep making changes so much that it's hard to keep up. When the members click that button, they are prompted to login to the FB account if they aren't already.

This is a change you can make to get "more" out of the recommend box we have for default.

This will involve some minor database changes, but doing this opens up many more social shares than we have with the default install.

In the examples, I totally removed the share widgets and replace with one, you have the option to do the same.
