Welcome email after join

Hello, I thought there was an option to send a welcome e-mail to new members after join. If there is can someone please tell me where I might find it so I can enable and edit it?

Well, I do not think there is a 'welcome' email so to speak by default, but there is an email when the profile gets activated, the member receives an email.

You can tweak that to say whatever you want by going here:

Admin Panel > Settings > Email Templates and then edit this one 'Profile activation notification.'

Thanks Zarcon but that didn't seem to do it.  I'm not sure if that will work with auto activation? I did try it but no notification was received.

What site are you referring two.

I just did a test join on the site i have been doing work on, and i received two emails. It seems to be working fine. Those emails quite often end up in spam folders of services like gmail and others. Have you looked in your spam folders?

I could have sworn i posted this. But it's not here. So i will post again.

The email i did get was modified to include tips. The list of tips you added are in a rather large font. Some people find fonts that large anoying.

Standard font size is normally 12px. Perhaps 14px at the most. Anything larger than that should be reserved for header areas and not used in the body.

Thanks again Deano, I did find it in the junk folder... And yes I need to resize the font. This was the first time I saw it... thank you again.

Turns out you were right and this did work. I couldn't find them till Deano pointed out to me to look in my junk folder and  sure enough they were in there.
